Model Kepemimpinan Transformasional Dalam Manajemen Pesantren Berbasis Nilai Keislaman dan Kearifan Lokal di Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum Kubu Raya Kalimantan Barat

Abstract

This study aims to examine a transformational leadership model within the management of an Islamic boarding school (pesantren) specifically Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum in Kubu Raya, West Kalimantan that integrates Islamic values ??with local wisdom. The transformational approach was selected for its capacity to foster comprehensive positive change through the inspiration, motivation, and empowerment of all elements within the institution. In this context, leadership is not merely structural but also transcendental, positioning Islamic spiritual values ??as the moral and ethical foundation for decision-making and the shaping of organizational culture. Employing a descriptive qualitative methodology, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that the leadership of the pesantren plays a strategic role in internalizing Islamic values ??by setting an example, communicating a vision, and strengthening the character of both the students (santri) and the broader pesantren community. Simultaneously, local wisdom serves as a means to bolster social cohesion, facilitate cultural adaptation, and enhance the participation of the surrounding community in supporting the institution's sustainability. By adopting a transformational leadership model rooted in Islamic values ??and local wisdom, Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum not only improves its managerial effectiveness but also reinforces its identity as an educational institution that is contextual, inclusive, and responsive to local dynamics all while remaining steadfast in its adherence to the principles of Islamic sharia
